Boiler tube cleaning

Goodway Benelux provides tube and chemical cleaning systems for fire-tube boilers, effectively removing fouling from both inner and outer tube surfaces. Goodway® tube cleaning equipment is highly effective against deposits, like: soot, ash, scale, rust, and more.

Advantages
  • No water required - completely dry cleaning
A mechanical cleaning of boiler firetubes is performed dry, meaning less mess and risk of corrosion.
  • Easy-to-use equipment - do it yourself
Service technicians and maintenance engineers can easily use the equipment, with minimal training. Goodway Benelux can offer remote or onsite support, if necessary.
  • Increased efficiency and lower fuel consumption
When the boiler is clean, it will use less fuel to achieve optimal results, resulting in lower operating costs and increased lifetime.
  • Reactive and preventive cleaning possibilities
Rotary tube cleaning equipment offers versatile capabilities. By selecting the appropriate tools and brushes, a wide range of cleaning tasks can be performed - from opening completely clogged tubes to polishing lightly fouled ones.
  • Reduce corrosion risk due to fouling
Under-deposit corrosion often occurs beneath layers of scale. By performing a chemical cleaning-in-place (CIP) of the outer tubes, these deposits can be removed in time - preventing corrosion from developing.

More about boiler tube cleaning

Keeping boiler firetubes clean is an essential part of maintaining efficiency and ensuring long lifetime of the system. Goodway® boiler tube cleaning systems are designed to be used by engineers and operators themselves. These systems can be used for both light and heavy fouling. It is also possible to open clogged tubes by using special cleaning tools. Because of the wide variety of deposit types which can be removed, Goodway® equipment is interesting for all kinds of boiler tube cleaning applications and can be used for both reactive and preventive cleanings.

"After cleaning our fire tubes with high-pressure water, a lot of deposits remained inside the tubes. That is why we have opted for a mechanical technique to remove the deposits by means of rotating brushes and tools. An employee of Goodway Benelux helped us during the delivery with an explanation and demonstration. An extra advantage is that we will use less fuel to produce the same heat. The more deposits inside the tubes, the more energy it takes to make steam. We are satisfied.

Scale accumulation on outer tube side

Not only the inner side of fire-tube boilers can become fouled, but the outer side is also prone to deposit buildup. The outer surfaces of the tubes, exposed to heat and external water or steam conditions, can experience scale accumulation as well. This is particularly common in systems where the water treatment plan is inadequate or where the quality of the feedwater is poor.

Goodway Benelux offers specialized chemical descalers (ScaleBreak) that are safe for tube materials and highly effective in removing scale deposits.

  • Ideal for removing rust and hard scaling deposits on the outer side of the tubes.
  • A descaling agent is circulated over the tubes for a predetermined period, thereby removing the deposits.
