Goodway® black flexible shafts are engineered for efficient tube cleaning when used with Goodway® tube cleaning systems and brushes. Designed to operate without water, they are ideal for applications where water cannot be used.

• These shafts are commonly employed in heavy-duty tube cleaning tasks, including shell and tube heat exchangers, reformer tubes in reactors, industrial vacuum piping, boiler firetubes, and more, and can be used in tubes ranging from 19 mm up to 900 mm in diameter.

Flexible shafts are available in a range of lengths and diameters. The Goodway Benelux team is available to provide guidance to ensure you select the optimal shaft for your tube cleaning application.

How to use

Every Goodway® tube cleaning system requires a flexible shaft to connect the machine to the cleaning brush. Without the shaft, the machine-to-brush connection cannot be established, making it an essential component of any tube cleaning setup.

When selecting a shaft, consider length, diameter, and coupling type. The shaft must always be longer than the tube being cleaned to allow proper connection to the machine. As a general guideline, an additional 2–2,5 meters of shaft length is typically required.

Threaded brush fittings

Goodway® black flexible shafts are available exclusively with threaded brush fittings. Since these shafts are commonly used in industrial applications requiring heavy-duty equipment, the threaded connection provides the strongest attachment and minimizes the risk of failure.

The black flexible shafts are frequently used with Goodway®’s heavy-duty tube cleaning machines, such as the RAM-4X, AWT-100, and AWT-100X.

Shaft diameters

Goodway® black flexible shafts are available in two diameters: the smaller 19,0 mm (GTC-704G) and the larger 25,0 mm (GTC-721G). In the experience of Goodway Benelux, over 95% of shafts are supplied in the 25,0 mm diameter, as this is the strongest variant available. The smaller 19,0 mm shaft is only used when the tube inner diameter is less than 25 mm.
