Chemical cleaning

Goodway Benelux provides chemical cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) systems and specialized cleaning agents designed to remove limescale, calcium, struvite, mineral deposits, rust, and other performance‑reducing deposits from HVAC and industrial process equipment without requiring disassembly.

Advantages
  • Safe chemical descaling products
ScaleBreak descalers offer excellent cleaning results and speed without compromising the long-term integrity of equipment base metals.
  • Decrease maintenance downtime
A chemical cleaning-in-place can be performed relatively quickly and requires far less disassembly compared to other cleaning methods, significantly reducing downtime.
  • Reduce corrosion risk due to fouling
Under-deposit corrosion often occurs beneath layers of scale or biofouling. By performing a chemical cleaning-in-place (CIP), these deposits can be removed in time - preventing corrosion from developing.
  • Wide range of applications
Goodway® descaling solutions can be used on a wide range of applications, such as plate and frame heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, heat exchangers tubes, evaporative coolers, pumps, boiler tubes, chiller tubes, and virtually any hydronic system.

More about chemical cleaning

Goodway®’s industrial descaling systems use cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) technology to remove limescale, calcium, struvite, mineral deposits, rust, and other performance‑reducing fouling from HVAC and process manufacturing equipment without disassembling the equipment. This approach keeps equipment in place, shortens maintenance time, and reduces the risk of damage or operational downtime. Chemical cleaning can be performed on plate and frame heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, heat exchangers tubes, evaporative coolers, pumps, boiler tubes, chiller tubes, and virtually any hydronic system.

ScaleBreak descaling solutions

Goodway Benelux supplies a complete range of ScaleBreak descaling solutions, each engineered for a specific application range. By selecting the right formula based on equipment type, deposit composition, material type, and operating conditions, customers achieve maximum cleaning performance with the highest level of material safety.

  • ScaleBreak-MP: A versatile, multi‑purpose descaler suitable for nearly all common system materials. Effectively dissolves a broad spectrum of deposits, making it ideal for general industrial use.
  • ScaleBreak: A fast‑acting and cost‑efficient descaler formulated for reliable removal of limescale and mineral buildup in standard applications.
  • ScaleBreak-Gel: A high‑viscosity gel designed for vertical or irregular surfaces, such as cooling tower louvers, drift eliminators, and other components where liquid solutions cannot remain in contact long enough.
  • ScaleBreak-SS: A specialized formula developed for stainless steel systems. Highly effective against scale, struvite, vivianite, and other hard‑to-remove deposits commonly found in wastewater and process environments.

Wide range of applications

Goodway® chemical cleaning equipment and cleaning agents can be used across a wide range of industrial applications. Whenever technical equipment is fouled with deposits such as limescale, calcium, struvite, mineral buildup, or rust, Goodway® solutions help restore the system to proper operating condition.

  • Chemical cleaning can be performed on plate and frame heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, heat exchangers tubes, evaporative coolers, pumps, boiler tubes, chiller tubes, and virtually any hydronic system.
  • Goodway® descaling pump systems feature innovative components such as flow‑reverse valves and integrated buffer tanks, providing a complete and efficient solution for chemical cleaning challenges.
  • Goodway Benelux has extensive experience in chemical cleaning and offers expert service and training for first‑time users as well as support for complex cleaning applications.

Cleaning-in-place and the benefits

Goodway® equipment operates using the cleaning-in-place (CIP) method. This approach requires minimal disassembly, saving manpower, reducing downtime, and lowering overall costs. To perform the cleaning, the heat exchangers are shut down and isolated, and a closed loop is created to circulate the cleaning agent over the plates.

  • Reduced downtime: CIP enables cleaning with little disassembly of the heat exchanger, minimizing system downtime. Manual cleaning, in contrast, requires full disassembly and reassembly, which is much more time-consuming.
  • Lower labor costs: CIP typically requires less labor, as there is no need to manually clean each component or reassemble the equipment, reducing overall labor costs.
  • Increased safety: With no disassembly required, CIP lowers the risk of damaging equipment or exposing workers to hazardous materials, making it a safer cleaning method.
  • Consistency and effectiveness: ScaleBreak descaling solutions efficiently remove scale, fouling, and other deposits from heat exchanger surfaces, delivering consistent results without the variability associated with manual cleaning.
