The Goodway® GDS-100 is a powerful descaling pump system designed to circulate volumes of up to 3600 litres. It is primarily used to remove fouling from medium-sized and large heat exchangers using the cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedure. The system features a 1-1/2” magnetically driven pump and a polyethylene, acid-resistant tank for maximum safety and ease of use. The GDS-100 works best when used with Goodway®’s ScaleBreak descaler products and is particularly effective against deposits like:
- Scaling (calcium carbonate)
- Rust (Fe203)
- Biological deposits (biofilm)

The Goodway® GDS-100 descaling pump system is designed to clean and descale heat exchangers, boilers, and various other systems as effectively and efficiently as possible. To achieve this, the system is equipped with several useful features, such as:
- Large 1-1/2” x 7,6 meter hoses with locking camlock fittings and isolation valves for ease of use, safety, and high performance.
- Y strainer and bypass valve functions increase performance by catching particulates for easy disposal, and to offer variable flow to match specific applications.
- Two pressure gauges offer simple performance feedback indicators, while built-in check valves offer safety against liquid flood back, should there be power loss.
Cleaning-in-place (CIP)
With many cleaning technologies, it is often necessary to partially or completely disassemble heat exchangers, whether plate heat exchangers, shell-and-tube designs, or boilers. Disassembly can be time-consuming and may lead to complications, such as leaks caused by incorrect reassembly.
In contrast, a preventive cleaning-in-place program offers an effective solution. CIP requires minimal disassembly and uses chemical circulation to clean the system. This method ensures that even the smallest corners and hard-to-reach areas are thoroughly cleaned – places where mechanical or other cleaning methods cannot reach. The system can remain on site, and components like the plate pack can stay compressed, simplifying the process and reducing the risk of errors.

We use the Goodway® GDS-100 descaling pump system to chemically clean/flush different types of (plate) heat exchangers on location or in our workshop. The device is ideal for removing limescale deposits. This descaling pump system has a large tank, which means that even very large installations can be cleaned without any problems.
