In this video, you can see how the Goodway® GDS-100 descaling pump system is used to clean a water-cooled chiller. The condenser tubes were heavily fouled with scale and biological deposits, which significantly reduced heat transfer efficiency. To restore performance, a chemical cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedure with ScaleBreak-MP was selected.
During a CIP cleaning, a flushing system circulates the chemical descaler – in this case, ScaleBreak-MP – through the tubes. One of the key advantages of this method is that minimal disassembly is required before cleaning can begin. The cleaning agent reacts with and dissolves the deposits, leaving the tubes clean and free of fouling. This process quickly restores optimal heat transfer and system efficiency.
