A German dairy factory experienced fouling issues in their falling film evaporators. The tubes quickly accumulated medium to hard deposits, resulting in blockages in approximately 30–75 tubes.
The AWT-100X tube cleaner, combined with a flex hub centrifugal scraper tool, was used to open the clogged tubes. Lightly fouled tubes without blockages were cleaned with a nylon abrasive brush. After a brief training session, the factory operators were able to perform the cleaning themselves.
The key advantage is that the customer is no longer dependent on an external cleaning company, allowing for greater control over the production schedule and improved operational efficiency.
