A customer providing heating and cooling solutions for buildings experienced heavy fouling in an Alfa Laval plate heat exchanger, with significant limescale deposits. After evaluating different options, the customer opted for a chemical cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedure, allowing the system to be cleaned without disassembly.
The Goodway® GDS-C92 descaling pump system circulated Goodway® ScaleBreak-MP liquid descaler, effectively dissolving the limescale deposits and flushing them from the system. After only a few hours of circulation, the deposits were removed, and the cleaning was successfully completed.
