The Goodway® TFC-JR cooling tower cleaner is a compact, lightweight system designed for efficiently cleaning cooling tower components such as air intake louvers and drift eliminators. For optimal cleaning performance, use in combination with Goodway® ScaleBreak-gel.
TFC-JR cooling tower cleaner
Cooling tower components such as air intake louvers and drift eliminators are highly susceptible to fouling from scaling, biological growth, and algae buildup. This not only reduces system efficiency but also creates breeding grounds for harmful bacteria, including Legionella.
With the Goodway® TFC-JR, ScaleBreak-gel can be directly applied to these components for effective descaling and cleaning. After the gel has done its work, use the Goodway® CC-400 condenser cleaner to rinse away loosened deposits and residual gel, restoring the system’s performance and hygiene.
Practical information
- Use the Goodway® TFC-JR in combination with ScaleBreak-gel to effectively remove tough scale deposits from cooling tower components such as air intake louvers and drift eliminators.
- The TFC-JR has a siphon hose for direct connection to 20-liter drums of ScaleBreak-gel.
- For best results, use together with the CC-400 condenser coil cleaner to rinse away loosened deposits and residual gel. The CC-400 operates with high water flow and low pressure, minimizing the risk of damage to delicate plastic components.
Note: For optimal cleaning performance on cooling tower components, use the special ‘turbonozzle’, designed specifically for the CC-400 condenser coil cleaner – available separately.
ScaleBreak-gel
The TFC-JR cooling tower cleaner is specifically designed to be used with ScaleBreak-gel. This chemical is specially formulated for cleaning cooling tower fill and other vertical surfaces. This high-viscosity, acidic gel adheres to surfaces to effectively remove mineral deposits and scale. By eliminating buildup, it not only improves the appearance of the cooling tower but also reduces areas where harmful bacteria, such as Legionella, can thrive. Regular cleaning with ScaleBreak-gel enhances both the efficiency and overall hygiene of the cooling tower.
Air-cooled condensers
Sometimes, air-cooled condensers can have scale deposits on the coils, especially with adiabatic systems or when customers spray water on the coils to increase cooling performance – typically seen in the summer period. To remove this layer of scale, the TFC-JR can be used in combination with ScaleBreak-gel and the CC-400HF condenser cleaner.
