Goodway® stainless steel brushes (GTC-210) are designed to remove light to mediumhard deposits from straight, smooth heat exchanger tubes. Since the brushes are made out of stainless steel material, they can be used for ferrous tube metals only.
- Use these brushes to remove mediumhard deposits, like: light rust and scaling.
Stainless steel material
Made from stainless steel, these brushes are Goodway®’s most aggressive option, designed to remove the toughest deposits from heat exchanger tubes. They are the ideal choice when no other Goodway® tube cleaning brushes can fully remove the deposits. Because stainless steel is relatively hard, there is a slight risk of scratching the tube surface – please consult our team for guidance before use.
Due to the material’s hardness, these brushes produce greater friction and place additional strain on the connected flexible shaft. Therefore, we recommend using them for larger tube inner diameters, starting from 11.1 millimeters.
Threaded vs. Quick Connect
Goodway® stainless steel brushes are available with either threaded or quick connect fittings. The right choice depends on your application:
- Quick Connect – Recommended for most chiller and heat exchanger cleaning applications. Enables bi-directional brush rotation for superior cleaning results. Best paired with machines such as: RAM-PRO, RAM-PRO-XL, and RAM-4.
- Threaded – Recommended for heavy-duty, industrial cleaning applications. Best paired with machines such as: AWT-100, AWT-100X, and RAM-4X.

After achieving limited results with traditional high-pressure cleaning methods on our wastewater evaporators, a Goodway Benelux product specialist conducted on-site testing with their tube cleaning system and a range of brush combinations to identify the optimal solution. Following the trial, we purchased Goodway®’s AWT-100X tube cleaning system with brass- and stainless steel brushes. The improvement after a mechanical cleaning with these brushes is significant; the equipment itself delivers a better cleaning result, and has allowed us to clean our evaporators in a more preventive way, leading to improved efficiency of our evaporators. Most importantly, mechanical cleaning does not damage the installation, which was the case with high-pressure cleaning. After eight months, we decided to purchase a second device from Goodway® for our evaporators at our other location. We definitely recommend it!
