The Goodway® QS-300 quick shot is a compact and innovative system designed for cleaning large numbers of straight, smooth heat exchanger and condenser tubes. The system combines air pressure and low-pressure water to achieve optimal cleaning results.

QS-300 quick shot

The Goodway® QS-300 quick shot is designed for cleaning large numbers of straight, smooth heat exchanger and condenser tubes, such as those found in surface condensors of power generation plants. The system combines air pressure with low-pressure water to shoot special projectiles through the tubes within seconds. These projectiles effectively remove deposits from the tube walls by scraping and pushing them out, immediately improving heat transfer and overall efficiency – without risking tube damage.

Compact, efficient, and easy to operate, the QS-300 is ideal for most projectile tube cleaning jobs, excelling at removing soft to medium deposits from tubes. However, for harder deposits, such as scale (calcium carbonate), the QS-300 is not sufficient. In these cases, the BFP big shot system, used in combination with Goodway® carbon steel tube scrubbers, provides the optimal solution.

When to use

The QS-300 quick shot is engineered to work with most Goodway® projectiles and effectively remove light to medium deposits from heat exchanger and condenser tubes. When used with Goodway® projectiles, the system is particularly effective against fouling such as algae, sludge, mud, and biological growth (biofilm).

  • Use only with Goodway® polyethylene tube scrubbers and nylon coiled brushes
  • Tube inner diameters between 12,6 – 31,75 millimeters
  • Tube lengths up to 15 – 20 meters
  • For straight, smooth tubes only
  • Cleaning large amounts of condenser tubes of surface condensers, heat pumps, and more
  • Remove algae, sludge, mud, and biological fouling (biofilm) from heat exchanger tubes

Practical information

The Goodway® QS-300 quick shot combines approximately 90% air pressure with 10% low-pressure water, making it an ideal system for use with Goodway®’s polyethylene tube scrubber and nylon coiled brush projectiles. The combination of air and water ensures that projectiles travel rapidly through the tubes, effectively removing a wide range of deposits from the tube walls.

  • Cleaning speed
The time savings achieved when cleaning with projectiles are significant. Projectiles are propelled through the tubes at high speed, projectiles travel through the entire tube within 5 seconds, regardless of the length.
  • Water consumption
The QS-300 quick shot operates using a 90/10 air-to-water ratio, meaning that only 10% of the total flow consists of water. The system consumes approximately 18–20 liters of water per minute, resulting in very low net water usage per tube – especially when compared to other cleaning technologies, such as high pressure lancing.
  • Safety
The QS-300 utilizes low-pressure technology, making the cleaning process safer for operators compared to traditional high-pressure cleaning methods. Additionally, the tubes remain intact and undamaged, as they are not exposed to high pressure waterjets.
  • Lower operating costs
The QS-300 is an affordable and cost-efficient tube cleaning system, representing a relatively low investment – even when purchasing multiple units. After the initial purchase, only projectiles are required, which can be ordered based on project or heat exchanger type. Since most projectiles are reusable, operational costs are kept to a minimum.

To clean our condenser tubes, we use nylon coiled brush projectiles and QS-300's from Goodway Benelux. It's a very effective and efficient cleaning method for water-cooled condensers at power plants. After cleaning, we see a clear improvement in cooling capacity of our condensers.

We have been using Goodway Benelux polyethylene tube scrubbers for years in order to clean our condenser tubes. The projectiles scrape the deposits off of the tube walls, but do not damage them. Ideal for preventive maintenance.

Uniper Benelux - The Netherlands

We are very satisfied with the functioning and user-friendliness of the QS-300 for the tube cleaning of our heat exchanger bundles and (smaller) coolers. And also not to forget the speed and quality of the cleaning.

EPZ - The Netherlands

We successfully used the QS-300 and polyethylene tube scrubbers for a tube cleaning of our heat pump condensers. Due to the speed of the device we were able to reduce the cleaning time from 6-7 to 1-2 days! That’s an 80% reduction, revolutionary.
